What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of information used by websites and services to remember state, protect requests, retain choices, and understand use.
They can be set by Curabix or by a service loaded on a Curabix page. Some are temporary and disappear after a session; others remain until expiry or deletion. Browser local storage can retain a preference without being a cookie but deserves similar transparency.
Essential authentication and security technologies
Curabix account workflows rely on credentials sent with API requests and anti-forgery protection associated with cookies.
These technologies support sign-in, session continuity, logout, request protection, and account security. Blocking them can prevent authentication or protected forms from working. They should be limited to the purpose, configured securely, and not repurposed for advertising.
Cookie names, domains, expiry, SameSite, Secure, and HttpOnly settings can change with authentication and service configuration. Browser developer tools can show the technologies present in a particular session, and Curabix can answer questions through the contact form.
Optional analytics
Curabix can load Microsoft Clarity and Google Tag Manager only after a user accepts optional analytics.
Analytics can help Curabix understand page use and diagnose experience problems. These providers may process online identifiers, device information, and interaction events according to their configuration and terms. Changes to optional tags are reflected in Curabix consent controls and privacy information where required.
Declining optional analytics should leave public content and essential account functions available. Curabix also suppresses analytics initialization on URLs containing common authentication or authorization values.
How the consent choice is remembered
Curabix can store an accepted or declined analytics preference in local browser storage so the banner does not appear on every page.
The preference applies to the browser and profile where it was stored. Clearing site data, using another browser, or using private browsing may reset the choice. A Cookie settings control in the footer should allow the banner to be reopened.
Changing from accepted to declined stops future optional scripts from loading after the next suitable page load. A script already loaded in the current document cannot always be fully unloaded, so refreshing after changing the choice provides the clearest result.
Browser and device controls
Users can accept, decline, reopen Curabix settings, and use browser controls to remove or block stored information.
- Use the Curabix banner to accept or decline optional analytics.
- Use Cookie settings in the footer to revisit the choice.
- Use browser settings to inspect, clear, or block cookies and site storage.
- Use provider opt-out tools where available and appropriate.
- Remember that blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and protected actions.
Changes and questions
Curabix updates this policy when technologies, providers, purposes, or consent behavior materially change.
Use the contact form with “Cookie question” as the subject if you need clarification about a technology used in your browser session.
